Vytenis Burokas

Curator

Vytenis Burokas is an artist, curator, lecturer who has completed bachelor’s and master’s degree studies of contemporary sculpture and art pedagogy studies at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. He was part of an educational programme at the Rupert centre. Burokas has worked as a curator of education and exhibitions at the National Gallery of Art, and since 2016 he has been a lecturer at the Sculpture Department of the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Burokas is interested in the history of art and culture, daily rituals, social roles and shifting attitudes as knowledge of the world around us changes. His work is a record of the passage of time, both historical and personal, in the face of this change.
